Court Shock: Family Elder Confirms Odo Broni as Daddy Lumba’s Customary Wife
The head of Daddy Lumba’s extended family, Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu, said in court that he was told Priscilla Ofori, also known as Odo Broni, was traditionally married to the late artist, who was born Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, and that they had six children together. He said during cross-examination that he never went to the purported 1991 wedding and that he first met Odo Broni in 2025 at Lumba’s home after his passing. In April 2010, Faustina Fosuh, Daddy Lumba’s youngest sister, informed him about the traditional marriage in Tantra Hills. According to Abusuapanin Owusu, Akosua Serwaa Fosuh, who says she is the last surviving wife, was given head drinks after Lumba’s death but subsequently gave them back, indicating that her marriage had ended. The Kumasi High Court is still considering the matter.
