Two Wives, One Legend, and a Courtroom Full of Secrets — Judgment Drops Friday!

On the day that is scheduled to be Friday, November 28, a Kumasi High Court will make a decision on the case that has been brought up alleging that the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu, who was also known as Daddy Lumba, and Akosua Serwaah Fosu entered into a legal marriage. This was declared by Dorinda Smith Arthur, the presiding judge, during a trial that was currently in progress on November 25, 2025. To this point, five people have taken the stand as witnesses; they include three witnesses for the plaintiff and one witness for each of the two defendants, Abusua Panin Kofi Owusu, who is the first defendant, and Priscilla Ofori, who is the second defendant. Despite objections to its legitimacy being raised by the defense attorneys, the original civil marriage certificate between the plaintiff and the dead was provided by her legal representation and was subsequently allowed as evidence. James Beniako Boateng, a witness for Ms. Ofori, was subjected to cross-examination. During this process, Boateng testified that the late Daddy Lumba had said that his marriage to Ms. Ofori, which had begun on April 10, 2010, had come to an end. However, Boateng also testified that no legal paperwork of the dissolution of the marriage was produced. Mr. Boateng further recalled the information that he was aware of about the connection between Daddy Lumba and Ms. Ofori. He noted that the couple had been together for four years before to being married, that they now had six children, and that they live in the city of Accra. He further noted that when the plaintiff went to Ghana in 2018 to attend the burial of her mother, Ms. Ofori made preparations at the residence located at Tantara Hills in order to welcome her as her husband’s current wife, not as a servant. He also revealed that the deceased singer was never confined to bed after undergoing surgery on his spine in the year 2013.
