AFCON 2025 Quarter-Finals Set: Egypt, Nigeria, Morocco, and More in Heavyweight Showdowns!

The quarter-final matchups for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 have been set, and there are some big matches coming up as the tournament reaches its most important stage. The last eight teams made it through the Round of 16, which ended on Tuesday, January 6.

The quarter-final field includes defending champions Côte d’Ivoire, record seven-time winners Egypt, Senegal, Cameroon, Nigeria, Algeria, Mali, and hosts Morocco. Egypt moved on after beating Benin in extra time, and Côte d’Ivoire easily beat Burkina Faso 3–0. Morocco beat Tanzania, Senegal beat Sudan, Mali beat Tunisia on penalties, Nigeria beat Mozambique with two goals from Victor Osimhen, and Algeria needed extra time to beat DR Congo.

There will be two days of quarter-final games. On Friday, January 9, Mali will play Senegal at 17:00, and then Morocco will play Cameroon at 20:00. Algeria plays Nigeria on Saturday, January 10, at 5:00 PM, and then Egypt plays Côte d’Ivoire at 8:00 PM. As the race for continental glory heats up in Morocco, the winners will move on to the semifinals.
