Ex-NAFCO boss’s new GH¢60m bail after GH¢50m Free SHS funds diverted to wife’s company, prosecution alleges.

Hanan Abdul-Wahab Aludiba and his wife, Faiza Seidu Wuni, have been re-arraigned before the High Court on fresh charges including defrauding by false pretence, stealing, money laundering and willfully causing financial loss to the state, following the withdrawal of an earlier 24-count charge sheet by the Attorney-General. The prosecution alleges that during his tenure as CEO of National Food and Buffer Stock Company Limited from 2017 to 2025, Aludiba diverted millions of cedis meant for food supplies under the Free SHS programme through proxy businesses, personal companies and his wife’s firm, FA-Hausa Ventures. Investigators claim more than GH¢50 million was channelled through Sawtina Enterprise and redirected to the accused persons for personal benefit, including property acquisitions and investments. The court granted Aludiba bail of GH¢60 million and his wife GH¢3.5 million, both with two justified sureties, while ordering them to surrender their passports, remain on stop lists and report to EOCO every two weeks.
