CAGD: Verify Ghana Card on e-Payslip by March 15 Or Risk Salary Suspension!
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has said that public sector workers who don’t check their Ghana Card information on the new e-Payslip platform by March 15, 2026, could have their pay stopped. In a letter dated February 11, 2026, the Controller said that the improved system had found big problems with the data in the government payroll. For example, there were differences between the National Identification Authority numbers on the payroll and the official records kept by the National Identification Authority (NIA). The Department warned that these problems could damage the integrity of the automated payroll system. As a result, it has told the Human Resource Departments of all affected entities to quickly fix the problems so that every employee is properly linked to their verified biometric identity under the Ghana Card system.
