Interior Ministry Sets New Dates for Security Recruitment (Mop-Up Aptitude Tests Begin Feb 21)
The Ministry of Interior has set new dates in February for Category C applicants with WASSCE certificates who were unable to take the Centralized E-Recruitment Portal Aptitude Test because of technical problems during the 2025/26 security services recruitment process. From February 21 to 28, 2026, there will be a staggered mop-up exercise. Applicants for the Ghana Immigration Service will go from February 21 to 23, applicants for the Ghana Police Service will go from February 24 to 25, and applicants for the Ghana National Fire Service and Ghana Prisons Service will go from February 26 to 28. There will be a general mop-up for all categories (A to C) from March 1 to 2, and the results will be out on March 4, 2026. People who are affected will get SMS messages telling them to log back into the portal. The ministry also made it clear that about 82% of candidates who have already taken the test will not be able to access it during the extension period to avoid system congestion.
