Mahama signals imminent reshuffle: ministers and CEOs to face performance review, awards won’t save you.

President John Dramani Mahama has signalled the possibility of an imminent reshuffle as the government prepares to evaluate the performance of ministers and Chief Executive Officers of state institutions. In a statement issued by the Presidency on Monday, June 8, Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama, announced that the President will soon conduct a comprehensive review of all ministers and heads of state institutions to determine whether they should be retained, reassigned, or removed from office. According to the statement, the outcome of the assessment will serve as a key basis for decisions regarding retention, reassignment of responsibilities, and any future Cabinet or executive restructuring. It further emphasised that public officials are expected to prioritise delivering results for the Ghanaian people rather than pursuing or accepting recognition from external award schemes whose credibility has been called into question.
