Worship Legend Ron Kenoly Dies (Global Gospel Community Mourns Iconic Singer)
Bruno Miranda, a musician and friend of Ron Kenoly, confirmed the news on Tuesday morning. Kenoly was a famous gospel singer and worship leader. The cause of death was not given. Kenoly was born and raised in Kansas. He had a hard childhood and served in the US Air Force for a short time before moving on to music. He started recording with an R&B group in the 1970s. After going to Bible college, he started making worship music. His first album, Jesus Is Alive, came out in 1991, and over the course of his long career, he made many important gospel albums. Kenoly also started Ron Kenoly Ministries in Orlando, Florida. He left a lasting mark on modern worship music.
