From ‘How do I pay fees?’ to ‘Future Engineer Activated’ — TTU students winning big!

Karpowership Ghana has given 55 engineering students at Takoradi Technical University full tuition grants for the 2025–2026 school year. They are the program’s biggest and most diverse group of students since it began in 2022. Fourteen female students from the mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering schools are among the recipients. This shows that the company is committed to promoting gender equality in STEM fields and its relationship with the World Bank Women in Energy Network Africa. The goal of the project is to improve access to technical education and make Ghana’s future engineering workforce stronger, which is in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for excellent education and female equality. Sandra Amarquaye, who is in charge of communications for Karpowership, stressed that the grants help students with their finances and give bright people the chance to work in important scientific areas. Olivia Agyemang, who is the Director of Academic Affairs at TTU, said that the plan had changed the lives of many students. Two recipients, Jessica and Fauzia Ibrahim, thanked the program for its help. According to the company, the grant shows its support for Ghana’s economic growth and for training the next crop of engineers.
