Mr Eazi Pledges $2M for Accra Event Centre—GTA’s Abeiku Santana Says ‘Grateful

Abeiku Santana, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), thanked Nigerian artist and business owner Mr. Eazi for promising to spend $2 million on building a 3,000-seat event center in Accra with both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Abeiku Santana said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that he was happy with the initiative and that engagement had begun. “We have contacted Eazi, my brother, and we are thankful for the call… be careful,” he wrote.

During his performance at the Detty Rave concert in Accra on December 28, 2025, Mr. Eazi asked the Ghana Tourism Authority to give him land for the project. He stressed how important it is for Ghana’s entertainment industry to have well-organized venues that can host events.

The large number of people who came to Mr. Eazi’s Detty Rave festival showed how much people want more quality event spaces in Accra.
