Ghana, Hungary & Egypt Eye €200k Health Project—Trilateral Deal to Boost Medical Care!
Officials from the Hungarian and Egyptian embassies have met with Minister for Health Kwabena Mintah Akandoh to talk about how the three countries can work together in Ghana’s health sector. They talked about a proposed €200,000 pilot medical support project that would send in specialist medical experts and provide essential equipment to improve healthcare delivery. The Ministry of Health would need to choose a hospital in the Greater Accra Region to benefit from the project and officially support it. The project could lead to a long-term partnership between Ghana, Hungary, and Egypt. A Memorandum of Understanding would outline the project’s goals, the types of equipment needed, and the specialists who would be involved. The project is also expected to build capacity by training Ghanaian medical professionals to make sure it lasts. This is something that Hungarian Ambassador Mr. Tamás Fehér and Egyptian Ambassador Mr. Wael Fathy both said they would do to strengthen health cooperation. The Health Minister welcomed this idea as part of efforts to improve healthcare delivery, local capacity, and knowledge exchange.
