Mpraeso MP: Don’t Judge Prophets by Poll Results (Spiritual Insight Goes Beyond Politics)

Davis Ansah Opoku, the MP for Mpraeso, has defended the credibility of Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun, saying that political results shouldn’t be the only thing that people use to judge spiritual insight. He wrote on social media on February 2, “In public life, people often judge spiritual voices by one event.” The Bible teaches us that prophecy isn’t always a set sentence. A lot of the time, it’s a conversation between God and people. He said that the prophet’s prediction that he would run for the Mpraeso parliamentary seat before he had even thought about it himself was proof of his true calling. He said, “When Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun first told me I would contest the parliamentary seat for Mpraeso Constituency, I had not even made that decision myself.” He talked about a future I hadn’t seen yet. That kind of insight is more than just a guess. It talks about calling and purpose. He used examples from the Bible to show that prophecies can change based on what people do and what God wants: “Jonah declared judgment upon Nineveh.” The destruction did not take place. Was he lying? No. The people changed, and so did the result. Isaiah the prophet told King Hezekiah to get ready to die. He said a prayer. God gave him fifteen more years of life. Because the heart changed, the word changed. He finished by saying that people shouldn’t confuse election results with spiritual truth. He said, “A different outcome in a primary election does not erase accurate insight into a person’s destiny.” I am living proof of the things he said would happen to me. We should be careful not to turn spiritual matters into math problems for elections. A ballot box counts votes. It doesn’t measure spiritual purpose.
