NLC Declares CLOGSAG Strike Illegal (Orders Withdrawal, Sets March 11 Hearing)
The National Labour Commission (NLC) has told the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), to call off its planned nationwide strike on March 9, 2026. The NLC says this is because CLOGSAG did not follow the Labour Act 2003 (Act 651). The Commission said that CLOGSAG didn’t give the other party or the NLC the required seven-day notice before the strike could happen, which made it illegal. The NLC wants to make sure that workplace relations stay legal and peaceful, so it has called the two sides to appear before the Commission on March 11, 2026, at 2 p.m.
