Effutu School girl Dies After Bee Attack (Family Mourns, Fire Service Response Delayed)
A group of bees attacked Emmanuella Quainoo, a senior at Effutu A.M.E Zion Girls Senior High School, and she died on campus in the Effutu Municipality. The event happened around 5:00 p.m. After that, she was quickly taken to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital, but she died the next morning while getting treatment. Witnesses said that students ran away during the attack and later found her unconscious. The Winneba Fire Service couldn’t respond right away because their fire truck was broken, and the Apam Fire Service didn’t get there until later. Her family is heartbroken over the event. Her grandmother, Vida Ayi Mensah, said that Emmanuella went back to school to retake her WASSCE after failing her science paper the first time.
