Xenophobia could kill AfCFTA’s dream, Junior Adusei warns South Africa’s attacks threaten trade and trust across Africa.

Junior Adusei, a Ghanaian business owner and political analyst, has said that new xenophobic attacks in South Africa could have serious effects on the whole continent, such as hurting the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area, which aims to increase trade and integration between African countries. He said on Newsroom that this kind of instability would not only hurt businesses and hurt the country’s reputation around the world, but it would also make African partners less confident, which would hurt economic cooperation across the continent. He told the government to work harder to talk to the people behind the attacks and stop them from getting worse. He also praised Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for taking action to protect Ghanaian interests.
