7 years for defilement: Hohoe court sends 23-year-old to prison after he lured 12-year-old girl to his home.
Felix Agbodzi, 23, has been sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to the defilement of a 12-year-old girl. Inspector Felix Kwao of the Ghana Police Service said investigations have revealed that the victim was lured to his house where the abuse took place. He was arrested on April 13, 2026 and subsequently arraigned before the Hohoe Circuit Court under the presiding Judge, Lambert Y. Kariba where he was convicted of his own plea under Section 101(2) of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29). Police have urged the public to report such crimes and promised offenders would face justice.
