Afenyo-Markin: NDC Lacks Tangible Results (Where Are the Projects, Contractor Payments)
Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Minority Leader in Parliament, has criticized the National Democratic Congress government for not getting any real results in its first year in office. He wants to know if it has started any big development projects or paid contractors who borrowed money from banks to do public works. On Channel One TV on February 16, 2026, he said that many contractors are still not getting paid, which could have a negative effect on the economy. He also said that relying on macroeconomic indicators that don’t lead to better living conditions is not a good idea.
