Joe Mettle Takes a Break (Sits Out 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards!)
Joe Mettle, a gospel musician, has said that he will not be able to attend the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards. He made this announcement in an interview on Hitz Praise Zone. He made it clear that the decision only affects the 2026 edition and does not mean he is permanently withdrawing. He will not submit works for nomination or take part in any related activities. The organizers, Charterhouse, have been formally informed and have accepted his decision. Joe Mettle was the first gospel artist to win the VGMA Artiste of the Year award in 2017. He dedicated the historic win to all gospel musicians. In 2021, Diana Hamilton won the ultimate award, which made that milestone even more important.
