Nana Agradaa Set for March 3 Release(Court Reduces Sentence in Fraud Case)
Nana Agradaa (Patricia Asiedua Asiamah), also known as Mama Pat, will be free on March 3, 2026, after serving two-thirds of her new sentence. She started her prison term on July 3, 2025. The Accra Circuit Court found her guilty of false advertising and fraud in connection with a money-doubling scheme that she promoted at her Heaven Way Champion International Ministry in Weija, which is in the Greater Accra Region. She was given a 15-year prison sentence with hard labor. The Amasaman High Court upheld her conviction on February 5, 2026, but cut her sentence to 12 months and added a fine of 200 penalty units (about GH¢2,400). They said the previous punishment was too harsh, and the new term would start on the day of her conviction. Richard Asare Baffour, her lawyer, said that her release and remission follow standard prison rules for eligible inmates. The case has gotten a lot of attention because she is a well-known media personality and former traditional priestess who became an evangelist.
