Three Petitions. One Special Prosecutor. Ghana’s anti-corruption storm just hit turbo mode.
Three separate petitions have been filed calling for the removal of Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng over alleged incompetence, financial mismanagement, conflict of interest, and failure to perform his duties. COFIIG claims he mismanaged over GHS 364 million and delivered few corruption convictions. Another petition by Apostle Abraham Lincoln Larbi accuses him of helping former finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta avoid accountability, while a third focuses on the SML case, alleging he allowed Ofori-Atta to flee and misled the public. The petitions urge President John Dramani Mahama to remove him, arguing his continued role undermines transparency and governance. The Presidency has not responded.
