Van Vicker, Ghanaian actor, has sued fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, at the High Court, seeking GH¢10 million in exemplary damages over statements he alleges have damaged his professional reputation. In a writ of summons and statement of claim dated October 10, 2026, Van Vicker accuses Lil Win of publishing a video on TikTok and Facebook on August 13, under the headline “LIL WIN BANS VAN VICKER FROM ACTING IN KUMASI!” He claims the statements portrayed him as dishonest, unprofessional and unreliable, exposing him to public ridicule and undermining his standing in the film industry. The suit also seeks general damages for libel, a retraction, a public apology and legal costs.

According to the court documents, Lil Win allegedly accused Van Vicker of making false claims, failing to answer calls and not fulfilling professional obligations relating to a film production. Van Vicker disputes the allegations, arguing that the publication created the impression that he had been banned from working in Kumawood and had failed to honour professional commitments. He further claims the controversy has affected his work prospects and prompted him to cancel planned business trips to Kumasi. Among the remedies sought is a retraction and apology on news portals with prominence equivalent to the original publication for four consecutive weeks. The claims remain allegations, and the court has not determined whether the statements were defamatory.
