Procurement Officer Vacancy in Takoradi
A company based in Aboadze-Takoradi has announced a vacancy for the position of Procurement Officer within its Commercial and Compliance Department.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Commercial and Compliance and indirectly to the Facility Manager. The role is responsible for sourcing, procurement, and contract management of goods and services in line with company policies, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include preparing annual procurement plans, coordinating procurement activities across departments, evaluating and managing suppliers, overseeing contract administration, monitoring purchasing costs, managing vendor relationships, coordinating customs clearance activities, and preparing monthly procurement reports. The officer will also be responsible for ensuring value-for-money purchasing, maintaining procurement records, supporting plant performance targets, and leading the disposal of obsolete assets and equipment.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics or an HND in Purchasing and Supply, with a minimum of five years’ relevant experience in a similar role. Candidates should also demonstrate expertise in procurement, contract administration, supply chain management, supplier evaluation, stock management, and stock reconciliation.
The company is seeking individuals with strong planning, communication, analytical, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
