When Fear Meets the Presence of God
Fear is the feeling that rises when we sense danger, uncertainty, or the possibility of losing control. It has the ability to occupy and seat in the mind. Scripture speaks into that fear with a simple assurance: “Do not fear, for I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10). God desires our trust and seek for his presence. The promise continues: “I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” There is strength for the journey, help for the burden, and grace for the moments when our strength begins to fail. Some seasons will leave us with questions we cannot answer. We may not know how things will unfold, but we can know who walks with us through them. The presence of God gives courage to the heart and steadiness to the soul. You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you can face it knowing who holds you.
