Ghana UK Mission Rallies Diaspora (Business Breakfast Pushes Investment Partnerships!)
On January 26, 2026, the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom hosted a high-level Business Breakfast Meeting with the theme “Harnessing Diaspora Capital and Partnerships to Drive Investment to Ghana.” The goal was to encourage diaspora investment and strategic partnerships. As part of the High Commission’s efforts to promote economic diplomacy, the event brought together business leaders, investors, financial institutions, fintech operators, and policy makers from the Ghanaian diaspora. High Commissioner H.E. Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson called for a change from sending money home to making structured investments that create jobs. Other speakers, like GhIPSS CEO Clara B. Arthur, talked about the growth of fintech, and officials talked about macroeconomic reforms and opportunities in areas like agribusiness, infrastructure, manufacturing, textiles, and cocoa value addition. At the end of the meeting, there were networking sessions. The High Commission said again that it is committed to helping partnerships that use the skills and money of Ghanaians living abroad to help the country’s economy grow.
