Plot twist of the year! Kwabena Agyapong’s own campaign boss just defected to Team Bawumia
Ofosu Asamoah, who formerly served as a member of parliament for the constituency of Kade and held the position of campaign manager for Kwabena Agyepong during the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries, has publicly announced his endorsement of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who previously served as Vice President. This is his first public appearance with Dr. Bawumia since he made the decision to switch his allegiance, and he announced it during a campaign rally. He said that the decision was made as a result of a reevaluation of the party’s internal competition, as well as the fact that he is more certain that Dr. Bawumia represents the NPP’s best opportunity to retake power in the general elections of 2028. Ofosu Asamoah said to the delegates who were in attendance at the occasion that he was certain that associating himself with Dr. Bawumia was the correct move for him as well as for the party. “I want to make it clear that I am still the same Ofosu Asamoah that you know. I decided not to support Dr. Bawumia earlier this year, but I have not recently established a link with him and his staff.
