The God Who Restores What Was Lost
Restoration is the act of bringing something damaged, diminished, or lost back to a place of wholeness. In our lives, loss can take many forms: lost opportunities, broken relationships, wasted years, shattered confidence, or dreams that seem to have slipped beyond our reach.
In Joel 2:25, God speaks to a people who had suffered devastation and promises to restore the years consumed by the locusts. His words reveal His compassion for people whose lives have been marked by loss. God sees the pain of what has been taken, and He remains able to bring renewal where despair has settled.
Sometimes restoration comes through a new opportunity; sometimes through healing, wisdom, renewed faith, or the strength to begin again. We may not recover everything in the exact form we once knew, but we can trust God to remain present and purposeful through the process.
