From Stop-List to Free Man — BOST’s Provencal Secures Bail and Heads Home.
Edwin Provencal, the former managing director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST), was freed from jail with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) after having been held for more than two weeks. He fulfilled the bail requirement of paying GH¢30 million.On the tenth day of November, which was a Monday, Mr. Provencal was taken into custody at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA). He was apprehended while he was in the process of trying to get on a plane that was bound for Maputo, Mozambique. According to what authorities have said, he had been put on a stop list as a result of investigations that were being conducted in relation to an alleged situation in which he was responsible for inflicting financial damage to the state when he was working for BOST. According to reports, he was traveling without the necessary permission. The length of time that he was held in custody led his supporters to voice their apprehensions, which resulted in a great deal of attention from the general public.
