Nana Ama McBrown Talks Divorce, Family Harmony, and Future Plans

Ghanaian actress and TV presenter Nana Ama McBrown has finally spoken up about her marriage, confirming that she and her husband, Maxwell Mensah, are officially divorced, revealing in an interview with Cookie Tee on TV3’s Newsday that their separation was calm, agreed upon by both of them, and without any hostility; she explained that they chose to end the marriage after both felt they were worn out by it, stressing that abuse or mistreatment was not the reason for the split, and although Maxwell Mensah’s family was at first hesitant about the decision, everything was resolved respectfully between them, with McBrown saying, “it was a peaceful agreement between the two of us,” and adding that even though they are no longer married they remain very close—talking often, being good friends, and working together to raise their daughter, highlighting that he still supports her, pays school fees, and acts responsibly, and that her relationship with his family, especially his mother, continues to be strong as she still visits them and they visit her; dismissing online rumours, she described her ex-husband as a respectful man and made it clear that their 12-year union was not marked by violence, explaining that because their marriage was traditional rather than legally registered the separation was straightforward, and she shared that she does not plan to marry again, though she is open to having more children, and admitted that she still has feelings for her former spouse and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of reconnecting in the future.
