808 staff at Jubilee House: political appointees make up nearly 29% of presidency workforce, 2025 annual report out.

The Office of the President has released its Annual Report on staffing positions for the period January 1 to December 31, 2025, revealing that a total of 808 employees were assigned to the Presidency as of the end of the year. The report, prepared in accordance with Section 11 of the Presidential Office Act, 1993 (Act 463), provides a detailed breakdown of political appointees, civil servants, and public sector personnel working at Jubilee House and other presidential offices. According to the report, the Presidency’s workforce comprises 233 political appointees, 390 civil service staff, and 185 public service personnel on attachment from various state institutions. The report shows that political appointees account for nearly 29% of the total workforce. This category includes four Ministers of State at the Presidency, 39 political staffers, and 190 other political appointees serving in various advisory, coordination, and support roles.
