Aboagye Backs Kojo Bamba to Strengthen NPP Grassroots Mobilisation
Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says the party’s newly elected First Vice Chairman, Kojo Bamba, can strengthen its grassroots mobilisation and ballot protection ahead of the 2028 general election. Speaking on Eyewitness News on Monday, Mr Aboagye described Mr Bamba as an innovative and forward-thinking politician whose appeal among young people and grassroots supporters could complement the strengths of the party’s leadership. He said Mr Bamba’s election also reflected the value of having leaders with different skills and constituencies within the NPP.
Mr Aboagye said he was particularly confident in Mr Bamba’s ability to mobilise supporters and protect the party’s votes during the 2028 elections. “With Kojo Bamba, the votes of the NPP will be protected. The ballots of the NPP will be protected,” he said. He added that Mr Bamba’s campaign focus on ballot protection would be an important part of his new role, especially in light of lessons from the NPP’s performance in the 2024 election. According to him, the party intends to strengthen its measures to protect its ballots and avoid what he described as mistakes made during the previous election.
