Gold Fields Output Up 18% in 2025 (CEO Hails Ghana’s Key Role, Tarkwa Remains Cornerstone)
Mike Fraser, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Gold Fields, said that gold production went up by 18% in 2025 compared to 2024. He said on Channel One TV’s The Point of View on February 23 that the growth was due to strong performance in all of its global operations. He named Ghana as a major contributor, saying that the Tarkwa Mine was a key asset that produced almost 475,000 ounces in 2025. He said that even though production at Tarkwa went down a little bit from one year to the next, this was because of planned waste stripping and capital development activities that were meant to support future production. This showed that the company is still committed to Ghana as a key part of its long-term strategy.
