Kuami Eugene: From Mom’s Kitchen Studio to Hitmaker—Perseverance Pays Off!
Kuami Eugene, a musician from Ghana, has talked about how he got started in music production. He built his first studio in his mother’s kitchen when he was 17, and she helped him a lot, even using her savings to buy him a computer. He said that he worked in tough conditions without air conditioning and that his mother checked on him a lot because of the heat, but he kept making music that would become the basis for his career. He told UNICEF Ghana that when he was 18, he moved out of his mother’s house in Fadama because his neighbors complained about the noise. This was a turning point in his life that led to his participation in MTN Hitmaker, his signing with Lynx Entertainment, and the release of hit songs like “Angela.” This shows how important family support and hard work were to his success.
