MP Agbana: Andre Ayew Deserves 2026 World Cup Spot (Cites Loyalty, Service to Ghana)
Eric Edem Agbana, a Member of Parliament from Ketu North, says that veteran forward Andre Ayew should be on the Ghana national football team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup because of his dedication and service to the team. He said on Eyewitness News that head coach Otto Addo should make the final decision, but loyalty and commitment should be taken into account when picking the team. He also said that Ayew is still competitive at the club level. Agbana talked about Laryea Kingston, a former winger who helped Ghana qualify for the 2006 and 2010 World Cups but didn’t go. He also said he didn’t like players who had turned down national team invitations in the past but were now looking for chances with the Black Stars.
