NPP Concludes Voter Register Exhibition—Primary Set for Jan 31 with Five Aspirants!
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has finished showing the voter register all over the country in time for the presidential primary. The exercise took place in all 276 constituencies across the country from Wednesday, December 31, 2025, to Monday, January 5, 2026.
The Presidential Elections Committee (PEC) of the party put together the exercise to encourage honesty and accuracy by letting delegates check their own information. People could check things like their names and photos and report any problems, like names that were missing, spelling mistakes, or wrong pictures.
William Yamoah, the PEC Secretary, signed a statement saying that the process let party members check records at both the constituency and regional levels. He said that this is an important step toward making sure that the presidential primary, which will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, goes smoothly and is credible.
There will be five candidates in the contest: Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong. The party is now expected to finish the voter register for the primary election since the exhibition is over.
