Nyaho-Tamakloe: ‘We’ll Save NPP from Those Destroying It (Frimpong-Boateng Deserves Respect!)
Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a long-time member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has promised not to let some party members destroy it. He warned that the current leadership’s actions are leading the party toward destruction after they decided to kick out founding member Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng over comments they thought were disrespectful. On TV3’s News Central on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe called Prof. Frimpong Boateng a man of integrity whose judgment he respects. He said the leadership should have consulted him before firing him, saying, “Frimpong Boateng is not a kid.” Frimpong Boateng is a very smart man who is honest and works hard. Frimpong Boateng knows how to choose his words. If he says the party is fake, he knows why he said that. If I were them, I would have talked to him quietly before coming out the way they did. This clearly shows that the party is on its way to destruction. Some of us will make sure that these destroyers are removed from the party so that the party that was formed by men of integrity will survive. The NPP, in a statement signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, said Prof. Frimpong Boateng described the party as a “fake party” in a Monday, January 12, 2026 interview. He also alleged that the 2023 presidential primary was rigged in favor of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, which the party called “highly reprehensible” and firmly rejected as baseless and unsubstantiated. They insisted that the primary was free, fair, transparent, and credible, reflecting the will of party delegates.
