Gov’t Launches ‘Fugu Wednesdays’—Wear Batakari to Celebrate Ghanaian Heritage!
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts has started a national campaign asking all Ghanaians and their friends to wear Fugu (Batakari) every Wednesday. Minister Abla Dzifa Gomashie announced the program and said its goals are to protect and promote Ghana’s cultural heritage, boost national pride, and strengthen unity. The project is also meant to help the creative economy by helping local weavers, designers, artisans, and traders. It will also show that Ghana is proud of its culture.
