Nyantakyi: Ken Agyapong Is NPP’s Best Bet (Jobs, Integrity, and Bold Leadership!)
Kwesi Nyantakyi, a member of Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s national campaign team, has said that Agyapong is the best candidate for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming presidential primary because he embodies the party’s values in a way that no one else does. Mr. Nyantakyi spoke in Bolgatanga about the campaign activities leading up to the January 31 election. He talked about Agyapong’s record as a businessman and former MP for Assin Central, saying that he has created more than 7,000 jobs and puts a lot of emphasis on youth employment and industrialization. He talked about the problem of having more than three million young Ghanaians who are unemployed, using data from the Ghana Statistical Service and the 2020 Population and Housing Census. He said that Agyapong’s plans to turn local resources into factories and goods for export would help with this. Mr. Nyantakyi also praised Agyapong’s honesty, bravery, and popularity among the people, saying that he was like Jerry Rawlings in that he was a strong leader. He told NPP delegates in the Upper East Region to vote for Agyapong as the party’s flagbearer, saying that he was the only candidate with a message that speaks to the whole country.
