57 Nations. 300 Delegates. ONE VOICE — Africa Demands Its Future Now!

At the International Conference of Pan-African Progressive Forces (PPF) in Ghana, more than 300 delegates from 57 African nations and the diaspora signed two important documents that were a big step toward Africa’s ultimate freedom. The Accra Declaration lays out a general plan for political and economic unity, resource sovereignty, industrialization, and financial independence. The Special Declaration on Reparations, on the other hand, suggests specific ways to fix past wrongs by setting up the Joint Institute for the Assessment of Damage and the Pan-African Reparations Justice Fund. The Fund will pay for education, healthcare, infrastructure, and cultural development using money from nations and businesses that have traditionally profited from Africa. The declarations move Pan-African action from talk to action, making the PPF a powerful force for Africa and its diaspora to take charge of their own future.
