Central Youth Drop Political Bombshell: ‘Bawumia or Nothing!
Yesterday, on the last day of his Central Regional tour, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia got a big boost in his campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential polls. This came after youth organizers in the region strongly backed him. Twenty-five of the region’s forty-five youth organizers have said they want Dr. Bawumia to be re-elected as the NPP’s candidate for president in 2028 on January 31, 2026. On the last day of his week-long tour of the region, the former Vice President received open support from a number of groups, such as current and past executives, election area managers, and polling station executives. But the open backing of many young organizers in the area is the most important one so far. It’s a big boost for Dr. Bawumia in the Central area, which is home to another candidate, Kennedy Agyapong. After officially stating their support, the youth organizers put out a statement that was signed by all 30 of them and explained why they made their choice. After carefully listening to and judging all the presidential candidates’ speeches, policy ideas, and track records for a few weeks, we are more sure than ever that Dr. Bawumia is the best person to lead our party and the country. “We have come to this conclusion based only on facts, a comparison of the issues, and a strong desire for the success of the party, and nothing else,” the youth organizers said. “We also heard from all five candidates, and it is clear that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the best choice for young people, women, men, Christians, Muslims, and everyone else.” This is how we show our strong support for him.
