Not MP, but maybe president? Godfred Dame hints at bigger political future, after helping Bawumia win 2028 first.
Godfred Yeboah Dame has hinted of a bigger political future for himself but has ruled out any intention to be a Member of Parliament. “I am still in active politics and I believe the sky is the limit but I am sure I will not be contesting for an MP position,” he said on PM Express. Asked about presidential ambitions, Mr Dame did not say directly what his plans were but pointed out his political future might lie beyond his current role, saying the future would unravel according to God’s direction. But he stressed that his immediate focus is to support the New Patriotic Party to recapture power in 2028 under former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia. Mr Dame also said the NPP had been vindicated by recent political developments after its defeat in the 2024 general elections and that many Ghanaians now believed they made the wrong choice on December 7, 2024.
