Job Summary
The Finance Manager will oversee the Institution’s financial management, reporting, and control functions. The role involves providing leadership in financial planning, compliance, governance, and risk management to ensure financial sustainability and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in line with applicable standards.
Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and investments.
Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and financial governance systems.
Provide strategic financial advice to the Council, Executive Committee, and relevant committees.
Liaise with regulators, banks, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
Implement audit recommendations and ensure compliance.
Supervise and develop finance staff to improve performance and accountability.
Oversee procurement and expenditure controls to ensure value for money.
Support the digital transformation of financial management systems.
Qualifications and Requirements
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management position.
Strong knowledge of Ghanaian financial regulations and governance practices.
Experience in a membership-based, non-profit, or professional organization is an advantage.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
